The NBA Draft Age Limit for African Americans Only

I have been trying to figure this one out for the longest time; I mean this is America so I thought. So how in the hell can you be told that you cannot make a living, when at eighteen years old you can die for your country. An athlete can go pro in tennis, golf, and baseball; but I forgot African-Americans really do not play those sports, but just as sure as we try to shoot jumpers and get paid out of high school it becomes a problem! Will someone please explain to me why this is ethical to prevent kids from going to the NBA fresh out of high school. Just like the movie "Life" with Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence said, "White only Pies". How 'bout the NBA Draft Age Limit? Black only bulls***!!!

  1. Although this rule is bullcrap, it does allow these young, up-and-coming ball players to understand the rapper when he says, "GET YOUR FETTY!" Just because a baller can not go to the league immediately following high school does not mean that he can not go get paid elsewhere! The age rule is going to eventually cost the NBA when more of these players realize that they do not have to depend on the league to earn a living! The point guard that was rockin' the GUMBY at the McDonald's game already chose not to go to college and is earning a three year, six million dollar deal overseas! Indeed, these vets may never realize that they do not need the NBA, but trust, if they keep getting paid big scratch elsewhere, these young boys will!

  2. ..Seems to have hit the nail on the head with the two previous comments... Surely there is nothing wrong with adding a little more driving force... While the NBA has locked out the up and coming high school superstars who would have made the jump from high school directly to the pros, it seems to be perfectly fine to accept foreign players 18 years of age to take the exact jobs of those that would have been held by African American youths coming out of high school. Ricky Rubio made this evident when he declared himself elgible for the NBA Draft on April 20, 2009, despite being born on October 21, 1990.
